Here’s March. Sort of a tough month to draw out because I didn’t really have a lot of my usual mental snapshots and I also went like two weeks without drawing at the beginning of the month due to the move. I’d rate it a 9.5 in terms of how eventful it was, however. :)

They say when you die you see your life flash before your eyes. I guess its sort of similar when you move out of your childhood house, a place your family has called home for the past 24 years.
In that last hour as there were less and less to-dos, memories from all time came rushing back.
I walked down that flight of stairs one last time and remembered running out every morning for school, playing on the porch, going to the park, walking to Bergenline, opening the door to see friends, strangers, my ex, family, peeking out the mail slip in the center of the front door because we didn’t have a peephple, that one time I heard a child’s voice say “Hi” in the hallway, opening the door to see thunder and lightning or a wintery tundra, being outside with my uncle and grandma the night the entire Northeastern United States was without electricity, seeing our old neighbor “Buddy” smoking a cigarette listening to the oldies radio station CBS FM waiting for his cat Rosie to come back.
In the midst of that my dad called out to me, and asked me to turn around. I smiled because I’m glad and grateful for the life I’ve been given.

Came across a photo on tumblr. I remembered following a bunch of photo blogs back when I first started with the intention of drawing a photo every once in a while. Never really did it.
As I’ve been trying to get into the habit of writing down my thoughts the moment they happen, I’m starting to listen to the urge of drawing when it strikes.
